The Twisted Timber Difference

A family operation that hunts the country they live in.

We're not a high-volume lodge. When you book with us, you get the same family that's been scouting, calling, and chasing tracks across this country season after season — not a rotation of seasonal staff.

Our home base is Caroline, in west-central Alberta — close enough to the prairies for legendary waterfowl, deep enough into the foothills for predators, and just a short run from the Rocky Mountain backcountry trout streams. One outfit, one family, five very different ways to spend a week in Alberta.

Our Story
Why Hunt With Us

What makes Twisted Timber different.

1

Family-Run, Not Outsourced

You hunt with the people who scout the land — not a rotating crew of seasonal contractors.

2

Private Access, Daily Scouting

Prime private fields, baited wolf and coyote sites, and remote alpine waters — scouted year-round.

3

Pace Built Around You

Small groups, flexible setups, and a hunt rhythm that fits your goals, your skill level, and the conditions.

4

All-Inclusive Stays

Lodging, meals, transport, decoy spreads, bait, and field equipment — the hunt is the only thing you need to bring.

5

Year-Round Adventure

Waterfowl in fall, predators through winter, fly fishing spring through fall — book the season you crave.

6

Real Alberta Country

Prairie potholes, boreal foothills, and Rocky Mountain backcountry — all from one home base.
