A family in the Alberta foothills.
We started Twisted Timber to share the country we live in — the real Alberta, hunted and fished by people who know it season after season.

Built around the country, not the calendar.
Twisted Timber Outfitting is a small, family-run business based in west-central Alberta. We run guided waterfowl and predator hunts, with backcountry fly fishing in the spring and summer and hound-guided cougar hunts through the deepest part of winter.
It's a 12-month rhythm — scouting waterfowl fields in the fall, sitting wolf bait through January, running hounds when the snow is right, and chasing trout in remote alpine creeks once the rivers open. Every season has its place, and we hunt them the way our family has always done: slow, intentional, and personal.

The same hands, every season.
When you book a hunt with Twisted Timber, you're hunting with the family that runs it — not a rotation of seasonal staff. We scout the country, maintain the bait sites, train the hounds, and tie the flies. You'll hear the same voice on the phone that's beside you in the blind.
